Hyundai Unveils Segment-Shattering Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle

Hyundai unveiled this week its highly anticipated Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle. The 2022 Santa Cruz breaks new ground within the SUV, Truck and Crossover segments by offering a true Sport Adventure Vehicle unlike anything else in the market.

Santa Cruz boasts bold yet sophisticated design, powerful and efficient powertrain options, a flexible open bed for gear, cutting-edge connectivity and a highly maneuverable all-wheel drive platform that is equally at home in urban and adventure-focused environments. The Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle begins production in Montgomery, Alabama in June and will be available for sale in summer.

In Canada, a single engine will be offered under the hood of the Hyundai Santa Cruz 2022. It is a turbocharged four-cylinder block of 2.5 liters, the same that can be found in the Hyundai Santa Fe. Hyundai promises more than 275 horsepower as well as more than 310 pound-feet of torque. The Santa Cruz will come with all-wheel drive as standard on the Canadian market. A towing capacity of 5,000 pounds is also announced.

The Alabama-built Hyundai Santa Cruz 2022 will arrive at Canadian dealerships in the summer of 2021. The price range will be announced at a later date.
